Space: landscape painting

Ever wonder how to create a masterpiece with depth and perspective? Let's find out.

Your mission: Create a landscape painting that focuses on foreground, mid–ground, and background.
The basics:
Space: An element of design that describes the area within and around real objects, or the illusion of area on a two–dimensional surface.
Atmospheric perspective (or aerial perspective): Perspective that uses the blurring of elements that are meant to represent objects in deep space.
Overlap: Dividing the illusionistic space into foreground, mid-ground, and background.
Scale: The relative size of a subject compared to other subjects.
